Absolute Black granite honed is a natural stone with a deep black, fine grain structure that contains a slight crystalline texture which brings a sophisticated finish to interior spaces and exterior applications due to its toughness to both cold weather conditions and resistance when exposed to high temperatures. Absolute Black granite honed is classified as a Gabbro rock which due to its mineral make up. This stone is composed by a dark, medium- to coarse-grained intrusive igneous rocks made out of of calcium plagioclase, pyroxene, and minor olivine among other natural minerals. Absolute Black honed (also known as Indian Black, Nero Assoluto or Jet Black granite) is quarried across different regions in India, including Rajasthan, Jaipur Udaipur and Madhya. This granite type is available in polished and honed finishes as standard and special finishes such as Satinato, Flamed and Bush Hammered are supplied to order. Absolute Black honed granite is an extremely versatile stone that offers the possibility of multiple colour and design combination thanks to its uniformity in shade and pattern. The honed finish is achieved at the processing plant once extraction is complete by stopping previous to buffing which produces a matte finish that is characterized by the absence of the reflective finish seen on the polish slab which is the more commonly seen finish on this type of stone. The honed finish provides a delicate dark hue and it is suited to properties and areas that require a sturdy stone that will last for many years to come. Granite is an ideal stone to work with, offering the possibility of having seamless pieces across large surfaces such as kitchen worktops, bar counters, bathroom cladding and kitchen islands. Granite slabs tend to be the largest in size across all natural stone groups which make this a cost effective material as in cases when a whole project can be covered with only one slab of material.
