Absolute Black granite is classified as a Gabbro rock, which due to its mineral make up is a dark, medium- to coarse-grained intrusive igneous rock. Absolute Black is composed of calcium plagioclase, pyroxene, and minor olivine. This makes it one of the toughest and densest stones on Earth, ensuring longevity and elegance will stay for a lifetime.

Absolute Black granite (also known as Indian or Jet Black) is quarried across different regions in India, including Rajasthan, Jaipur Udaipur and Madhya.
This granite type is available in polished and honed finishes as standard and special finishes such as Satinato and leather.

Granite is a magmatic rock which is made out of quartz and feldspar amongst other minerals. It occurs naturally below the earth’s surface over hundreds of thousands of years resulting in an extremely strong stone that has been used over many civilizations in construction of buildings and monuments and paving. Most recently, granite has become the material of choice for residential homes as it offers unique and exotic looks, durability, strength and investment value to any property in which it is applied. The lack of calcium in granite ensures the stone does not etch like marble when exposed to acid present in lemons, oranges, etc

Standard thicknesses for Absolute granite worktops are 20mm and 30mm and it comes in standard finishes in polished, satin, leather or honed.
