Dekton Khalo is a sintered stone surface suitable for kitchens, floorings and bathrooms, inspired in the exotic Patagonia granite. In contrast with natural granite, Dekton Khalo won't scratch, stain nor etch when exposed to coloured substances from foods. In addition, this natural surface with grey hues will add the natural look of concrete and limestone to modern and classic designs.

Dekton Khalo from the Natural Collection is made by mixing a highly developed mix of porcelain, quartz, glass and raw materials. It results in an ultracompact surface that is highly resistant to heat, freeze, scratches, staining. In addition, it is suitable for both indoors and outdoors applications.

From the most remote mountains, the Khalo colour is born: an earthy backdropped surface with randomly scattered speckles and minerals to bring natural aesthetics into any space.

Dekton Khalo worktops offer shades with neutral hues and a velvety matt finish to elevate the aesthetics of any room. In addition, the inspiration of this material is based on not only technicality and great performance but also in using organic colours and textures. Just like its counterpart Dekton Bergen, Khalo is super practical and easy to use.

The exclusive personality displayed by the new Dekton Natural Khalo tones is ideal for use in both residential and commercial applications including kitchen worktops, splashbacks and wet areas.

What is Dekton?

Dekton is a sintered stone, made from a unique formula of natural quartz stone, porcelain, glass and other raw materials.  These organic components are blended and compressed with extreme pressure to result in a product that is impervious to staining and highly resistant to scratches and heat.

How heat resistant is Dekton?

Due to its technical characteristics, Dekton Khalo can withstand up to 300 C of heat. This enables the end-user to drag pots and pans directly on to its surfaces without damaging the stone. Despite this claim, it always best to use a trivet to place hot items from the oven.

How to Clean and Maintain Dekton surfaces?

For daily maintenance, you can use a window spray and kitchen cloth. Dekton is totally non-porous and it will never require sealants or additional coatings.

For Limescale marks, you can use white vinegar, leaving it to rest for one minute. Rinse with plenty of warm water and a scouring pad. Dry with a kitchen towel.

Khalo is available in thicknesses of 4 mm, 8 mm, 12 mm and 20 mm. We recommend 4 mm, 8mm and 12mm for cladding; and 12mm thickness and over for kitchen worktops direct and countertop applications.

Dekton uses a Sintered Particle which works at a molecular rather than granular level, which ensures the material has practically zero water porosity, enabling it to work on any environment and foods including colourants such as curry, lemon, coffee and ketchup.
