Updated 6 November 2026
This article looks back at seven Dekton designs featured in 2020: Aura, Bergen, Olimpo, Portum, Khalo, Fiord and Ventus. They are useful design references for comparing marble, quartzite, granite and understated cement inspired looks. A 2020 feature does not confirm that any colour remains in Cosentino’s current range.
The seven Dekton colours featured in 2020
- Aura: a light marble inspired design with prominent grey veining.
- Bergen: an off white surface with expressive darker veining.
- Olimpo: a bright, classically veined marble inspired look.
- Portum: a lighter surface with softer, more dispersed movement.
- Khalo: an earthy, high movement design inspired by granite.
- Fiord: a pale design with flowing veins.
- Ventus: a more restrained grey look for quieter schemes.
These short descriptions refer to how the designs were presented in the 2020 article. Names, finishes and specifications may have changed since then. Check Cosentino’s current UK colour catalogue for live product information and ask a supplier to confirm availability before planning around a specific colour.
How to compare these looks in a kitchen
Begin with the amount of pattern you want. A strongly veined surface can become a focal point on an island, while a quieter design can sit more easily beside patterned cabinets or splashbacks. Then compare samples with cabinet doors, flooring and wall finishes in the actual room, under both daylight and evening lighting.
Small samples help with colour and finish, but they cannot show how a pattern runs across a full slab. For expressive designs, ask to view a full slab image or proposed slab layout. Discuss vein direction, joins, sink and hob cut outs, and edge details with the fabricator before approving a layout.
Confirm current product details before specifying
Before ordering, verify the exact colour name, finish, thickness, slab format and availability. These details are specific to each product and can change over time. Also request the latest care instructions for the selected finish and thickness.
About Dekton worktops
Dekton is Cosentino’s ultra compact surface, made through a mineral particle sintering process. Its product properties and care requirements should be checked against current manufacturer information rather than inferred from a colour description. For everyday cleaning, follow the relevant instructions for the installed surface, and take care around corners and edges where impacts can cause damage.
Are the 2020 designs still available?
This article does not assert current availability for Aura, Bergen, Olimpo, Portum, Khalo, Fiord or Ventus. If a preferred colour is no longer listed, ask your supplier to compare current alternatives by base tone, pattern movement and finish.
